I thought this may clear up any questions on the 'foot board' and 'handle' used in this 'daring game'!

This usefull article is from http://boatvalueworld.com/blog/2010/02/04/kite-surfing-how-to-kite/

Kite Surfing: How to Kite
Kite boarding is an exclusive sport where the player is provided with the dual opportunity of flying as well as boarding thus doubling the thrill of the practitioner. This is also the reason why the spotters get behind this enchanting sport without concerning its cost or danger.

An important thing to keep in mind while deciding to learn this daring game is to practice under a well experienced trainer who is fluent with all the stunts and tricks associated with this fantastic sport.

The first step in learning how to kiteboard is to purchase a trainer kite as it is specifically catering to the beginners. In the first phase of kiteboarding training, the interested individual will have picked up how to keep the kite in control. The same phase of training will also have provided the learner with the skill of launching the kite and landing it without letting it collapse.

The kiteflyer will by this time have learnt to estimate the speed of wind enough to get it off to a flying start and how to kitesurf.

There are mainly 5 parts for a kite which include the foot strap, foot pad, a handle, a tip and two edges.

The kite boarder is supposed to stand on the foot board and the foot strap is used to tie or strap his foot to the foot board. Usually the kite has two edges namely the heel edge and toe edge. The handle is to hold while surfing and the tip will be always pointed towards the moving direction. There are also various riding styles in the field of kite surfing or kite boarding and once you get a good trainer you will be accustomed with these S

It will be really good for the trainers to know about the different parts of the kite boarding. A really interested practitioner will show keen interest in learning about the parts and that the most essential and basic parts of kite boarding includes foot board, foot strap, the tip, the two edges and the handle.

The light wind twin tip is just the variation of the normal twin tip only difference being that it could be used in light wind. The varying feature of the wake board is that it has bindings in the foot board in addition to other normal features.

Priceless.

Favourite line: "The light wind twin tip is just the variation of the normal twin tip only difference being that it could be used in light wind."

Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
