Today, despite a marginal wind forecast, we will still be meeting for the Seaon Opener at Brighton Beach, just south of Scarborough.

Look out for us on the grass area next to the carpark at the bottom of Brighton Beach Road. 1:30pm. If the wind does make it, then we'll either just kite off the beach or may still ride the charter bus to City Beach and kite back.

We will have the barbie so even if there is no wind come down for a social and catch up with the crew. Where else can you go to get fed and talk kiting all day!

For anyone who hasn't yet seen it, WAKSA have an incredible new website with a full schedule of events for this season, site guides, and a simple button you can now press online to renew your membership. No more manual forms or hastles having to use snail mail. www.waksa.org.au

We hope we'll see everyone down here at Brighton this afternoon.

Thanks to WAKSA for putting on a casual gathering and feed on a perfect afternoon albeit with no wind! Bring on the wind and more BBQ's!

Thanks again

Hey Greame,

Was bummed to check the Forum this evening to see you had organised the BBQ. if I'd have known we would have been there.

Can we advertise this sort of thing the day prior to the event as a reminder, I think there was some mention some time ago, but forgot.

Thanks, hope you had a good turn out.

Good winds,

Hi Darren
Yes we had intended to post it on seabreeze earlier and we certainly will in future.

Thanks to everyone who came down. It was great to see a solid turnout. Shame there wasn't enough wind today but we'll organise another downwinder to make up for it.

Keep your eye's on the WAKSA.org.au website for any updates to scheduled events.

Special thanks to Alex, Graeme, and the rest of the WAKSA crew who showed up and put on a barbie.

Also, thanks to Ian for bringing down his toys and sharing them around.

Despite no wind, a good turn out.
