thats the spirit flick, now have about 30 competitors in mens and Theresa and Felicity in the ladies. come on ladies have a go it should be a fun weekend. if we keep going the rate we are going we will get over 32. might even be able to run a masters division
spoke with Bill at kbm and they are going to support the event too. they have kindly donated 3 ,1 year subsriptions as prizes and are going to do photos and write up for the next issue. much appreciated thanx
look at the longrange. a touch over 2m swell and 20-25knts both days you dont get much better than that in summer. might be an early start on saturday but keep posted. will do a ring around today to confirm spots. so far everyone that has there name down has a spot. there might be 1 or 2 spots left in mens and plenty in the ladies. and looks like we should get to run a double elimination for all riders. should get some fun 2 to 3 foot waves. meeting up with the guys thursday night to run over final details so will post everything you need to know on friday. and should have a more accurate forecast by then. remember you have to have waksa or aksa insurance to compete

What started out as a casual social thing has grown and grown .
KBM have asked for photos and an article as well which is great and will give us an opportunity to thank all the sponsors again .
The comp will follow a structure only for safety reasons and to avoid frustration however the attitude will remain very casual and it is still only about getting together and appreciating what everybody is doing and their own individual style and approach to the waves .
Damo is out as a judge, sorry Damo I stuffed up with chatting further with you about the Comp. So dudes we need another Judge. They must kite and surf as a basic start. We will feed you, give you lots of red bull and place as much beer in your hand afetr the comp as you can drink.
definately saturday and sunday if there is wind. saturday single elimination, sunday will be the start of the double elimination and if we get wind both days then the finals will be sunday arvo aswell as the single elimination final on the saturday arvo, does that make sense
Contest Judges have now been changed, Damo has been replaced by Jan Hurst. Jan was the Head Judge assistant last year for Gravity Games. Craig Farrow, please contact me, Bonny, on 0414793383 if you're still keen to judge.
We also have a seeded Dutch women's national champion, Ester to join in the women's wave event. She is a North international rider, but unfortunately, she is short of a Rocketfish Board in her quiver. So if anyone can lend her a board for the day, she would really appreciate it.
Good luck everyone - look forward to seeing as many people down there as possible for what is going to be a fun couple of days out.
