Joomla is what your looking for, a few kite shops are even using it - not well mind you *snigger*. Not hard to learn though, I would do it for you but this time of year is the worse for me with my farm work - sorry, but for anyone with the time - go check www.joomla.org out. It's free open source content management system, will take anyone with basic grasp on web design (style sheets and the flash part would be the most you need to know really) couple of days to learn the basic back end of it and for you the organizers not long to grasp the use of the publishing sections once they are categorized. No php/web site programming required.

<Start shameless self plug>

Hello, I can help, I built the nswkba.com.au website and features, the aksa.com.au website as well as few kite shops that also advertise on this site (xshore.com.au) and hundreds of other sites, the NSWKBA site I added in the signup and pay online for membership option as well as the google map. I use joomla and you will be able to update the site yourself quite easily, contact me at www.it3.com.au to discuss, I cant work for free as I have children to feed, but contra may work :) I am a full time web developer so your not getting some hack. All featuers you mentioned are no problem.

<End shamless self plug>

All the best with the event.

Hey splaat your ace!
Give some of the vic kiteboard shops a ring will you cause their sites suck.
That little one in geelong seems to work but we dont like to include them as part of Vic. Brings the land prices down!

Hi,
I dont have much time to develop, but can certainly offer you some hosting if that helps, our main area's are search engine optimisation and automating business on the web, mainly recruitment business, anyhow, if you want some free hosting for a few months to support the event, let me know and I'll set you up, www.edoes.com.au
