People of the kiting world.

What do you want to see in kiteboarding magazines?

What do you want to see less of?

People wearing appropriate safety gear and setting a good example to new riders. I'm sick of seeing Pro's with no kite leash and a surf leash to there board.

More Australian location guides or road-trips.

Unbiased Equipment reviews. Done by regular riders or a cross section of riders.

Tips and Techniques.

Some decent written content. So of us can read

Have a look at the UK mag "Kitesurf" about the best mag out in my opinion

Yeah the gear reviews at the moment in most magazines are just taken straight from the company's website. It's pointless, you may as well just go do some into-net research and you find it all out faster than the mags can produce it anyway and more dvd's, and not just stuff which we have all downloaded off the internet anyway.

1) Information relating to locations in Australia from the people who actually kite there rather than from someone who goes there for a couple of days in their lives.
2) Kite/board reviews from a broader spectrum of users rather than just team/pro riders.
3) Some basic instructionals would be useful.
4) Reviews of accessories like harnesses, wetsuits, PFDs etc.

More real top-gun Aussie riders in their LOCAL area. Yeah we all saw the big guns grow from when they were starting off, but thats all thats in there now.

An actual story or article about something useful; not just half written sentences and paragraphs that go along with a half-naked chick wearing a harness who has no clue. lol. *hilarious*. Its like putting a Hilton in a kite harness, but even worse in every facet.

I don't bother with them anymore. Half of them are filled with trash and advertising the same old products.

Reviews can instead come from various kiting forums from non-bias riders from various ares of the world who rider in very different conditions.

The company adverts at the back are awesome and a gr8 resource in case, but otherwise... yikes...

Hope ur mags better than the KBM here mate. [}:)]

Just a feedback re your e-magazine.

Instead of locking the window size of the web browser when visualizing the e-mag, make it resizable or at least add the possibility for the user to see in full screen.

Thanks

Contrary to what the majority of Kite Mags display(not the sex sells shots!)....there a lot of excellent female riders out there pro and non-pro so why are they very rarely featured in mags?

Forget all the above.

the only things that sell Mags, are Sex and antisocial behavior.

Naked Girls smashing furniture, wearing skimpy waist harnesses.

That's all. Just ask the publishers.

Kite reviews that keep a consisitent comparison between kites; not just someone waffling on pimping brands. Maybe a star rating for turning speed, relaunch, hangtime, bar design etc; (highlighting the weakest points as well) plus some sort of standard indicator of power of paricular sizes of kite because there is no corolation between brand sizing anymore.

When there is a review about a kite, it'd be nice to also see a pic of the bridle set-up/line set-up and a little more info about how it works.. it always seems to lack a little of info about that kinda stuff....

Hey Ladies,

Carrie Begg was on the front cover of Kiteworld two issues back doing a pull up handle pass. There was an article/interview on a UK Lass in the latest issue. She was a wave shredding chicky who seemed to have it all goin on.

I agree women are usually over looked a little in the local mags or only portrayed in skimpy gear, not that I'm hugely against that, I appreciate the female form as much as the next guy, but there are enough hot chickies ripping on kites to do articles on them which would be even more interesting than model chicks whining about their hair getting blown out of place etc. And please, no more shots of chicks doing Gayleys, we have loads of girls rippin' it up here in WA on surfboards and unhooking, so many ops for great shots.

I'd like to see reviews of gear where if the gear sucks, just tell it like it is, wishy washy positive only feedback in reviews makes me want to barf

I'd also like in depth reviews on places to kite, I hear Dolls is really sweet, butter smooth water, huge expansive beaches, great amenities, friendly locals and no crowds

Good winds,

1. Less photos of riders 3m out in front of the barrel saying that they are getting barrelled.

2. No photos taken off the internet and put into the magazine and claimed as their own. (ie photo of two hot chicks pashing which was circulated by email 4 years ago claiming to be a night club in stockholm" which somehow ended up in a KBM issue late last year in the party section at the front with no reference to the origin of the photo)Cheap....

kites being versed against each other for the different disciplines and then ranked with price a major factor and rated for different characteristics
kiter is pretty good as it has interviews for whats happening but it also needs news in an unbiased form.

as said before, more info on local action like that 4680 group and woodies riders

I agree with elizabethb but remember that their mommies will not let them buy Hustler, Playboy or Ralph (much better photography than anything seen in AKBM)

And Kitehard after the review of dolls they should review the Ideal conditions of Pinnaroo and the pumping eight foot Hawaiian Surf of Scards
