Well what a front to hit Victoria today !!

Today here in normally sunny Gippsland it was 17oC at 10.30 am just before the change hit which dropped the temp to 9oC (felt like -4.9oC ) - brrrrrr

Wind speed at East Sale BOM site was (km/hr) ave = 72 and Gust was 109 !!
in knots = ave 39 and gusts to 59 !!

I didn't go out !! - yes flame me and Im ready for the red thumbs ( I might warm up a bit!) - but I will live to kite another day!!

Are these conditions kite-able???? - I also wonder why I would want to go out??

Im 85 kg and my smallest kite is Fone B3 8m -

Would you kite in theses conditions - and what size of kite ?? - it was just insane watching the winds ferocity!!

two of my mates were out on a 4m and 5m kites, wind gusts were up to 48 kts on the windmeter,no jumping just riding and hanging on, another time we were out on 5.5m kite in the morning and in the afternoon there were 2 guys out on 3.5m kites and surfboards, not really that much fun, they were able to ride in the flat water{well sort off} but as soon as they were in the waves they fell, wind is too gusty and volitile, think a 2m-4m kite might be the go for 59 kts ,might help if your being kiting for 10 years and are a little crazy ,really strong wind is no fun and is SO dangerous
