I've been looking to buy a new kite for ages. It had become virtually an obsession then the week before last I finally bought myself a new (2nd hand) switchblade.

Had it out on Saturday & its awesome. The guy selling it offered me a good deal if I took his board as well & the wife was in a seriously weird mood & just said "yeah sure if it will shut you up about kitesurfing for a while".
So now I have an awsome new kite & board.

So what should I obsess about now?
Harnesses?

Maybe you should obsess about the wife before she uses her good mood against you......

I'm a wife and that is what I did to my husband when he just bought his new guitar

I made him pay off the rest of my kite

If she gets the ring, you get new gear!!! It's the way it should work anyway. Besides if she gets the ring she won't even notice the new gear

Mmmmmm, the red ones are also good.

Obsess about tones of stuff. Go onto ebay, and see what you can find, that you can't live without.

I like the parachute. Date of manufacture - 1992... wow a 16 year old parachute, I'd trust my life with it!

I guess you could do some cool stuff with it:

1. Attach it to your car as a "drag race brake"

2. Deploy food to the people in Burma from your private plane.

3. Try parasailing with it.

4. Emergency landing device for those big boosts that go really wrong.

5. Make yourself a life-size toy soldier and throw him off the Sydney Harbour Bridge!
