Hi Will,

You need to specify where you live and what wind conditions you expect to be riding in.

Cheers,

Hey Will...

good one sinbad

As Tannum is pretty windy during the summer season (8m-10m weather for men), and even up to now, this is the best I can suggest. Not knowing anyone who kites that is 40 kgs, so I just made a comparison with guys I kite with and myself, and prediected the wind for you with regards to the results...

75 kgs - 10m - 18-25 knots
52 kgs - 10m - 16-22ish knots (me)
40 kgs - 10m - 14-19ish knots

75 kgs - 8m - 22-28 knots
52 kgs - 8m - 20-26ish knots (me)
40 kgs - 8m - 17-23ish knots

75 kgs - 6m - 26ish-33+ knots
52 kgs - 6m - 24-30+ish knots (me)
40 kgs - 6m - 21-26ish knots

These are just 'approx's' as even kiters of the same weight prefer more and less power etc.

These are also the simple straight sizes, 6, 8 and 10 (Cabrinha, Caution, North etc), whereas Slingshot make 5, 7, 9 and 11m if you would like an 'in-between' kite etc.

Great winds

... and no-one has even considered what size & style board you might be riding yet.
