No Elizabethb, I was at the Pin on Monday so there was plenty of buffer space in the event that it all went to custard.
It happened that quick and this is what we did without thinking about it much. (lucky it was blowing a mellow 15knots WNW)
We were standing about a 1.5 to 2m apart.
My mate on the 17m brought his kite low to the water at about 2 to 3 o'clock.
My kite was at 10 o'clock. (over the beach)
I then climbed over and inbetween my mates lines. (they were low to the ground as his kite was at 3 o'clock)
All over with no problems.

Initially I thought of trying to fly my kite back through his lines but that was going to be a lot more difficult and risky.
In retrospect I should of unhooked before walking through his lines, and if anyone was to jetison the kite it would have to of been me with my kite inside my of my mates lines.
Anyway hope this does not happen to anyone while having a yarn to another kiter. Just remember to keep your kites away from each other.
