Could someone please tell me what the name of the pigtail rope where you attach the lines to the kite. I have to replace one as it is worn through the outer sheath and it may break. If I know the name it will save time obtaining it in case the wind blows.

Use pigtail and connector loop myself. Line attachment point could work. You can buy them or simply buy suitable rope and tie them yourself.

Yeah sorry, perhaps I didnt explain myself properly.
What is the trade name of the suitable rope so I can buy a few metres for making replacements. I want something strong, this last connecter lasted only about 15 hours.

yacht supply stores should have some "spectra" that is suitable, about 2mm is the smallest most will have, maybe 1.6mm, they'll have red and blue/green to match your colour coding too. they should also be able to sew loops for you, at a nominal fee, or use a good home sewing machine set to zig-zag with a short stitch... look at your old pigtails to see how it's done.
to tidy up the loops, you can get heat-shrink from electrical/electronics stores... the type with glue inside wont slip, a stitch through widest part of the un-glued type will hold it in place.
kite power have a line called "power-line" that is really hard wearing, you probably wont be able sew this tho' so just knot it... you may have to sheath it to colour-code your pigtails; AFAIK it only comes in yellow

Hi wind dummy,
You might be aware I work at Airborne Kitesurfing. We use a Marlows 2mm Spectra for making new pigtails. You can buy them pre-tied (by moi) or just get a length of rope and do it yourself. I think it's only $1/metre. Other shops might have it or a similar grade rope.

Thanks for the help.
Theres no shops here but its the sheathed spectra I need from the local marina, I might try the thicker line for durability, first thing in the morning.I certainly dont want to be fumbling around with a busted connector and the winds up.
