Very disappointing news about the arm wrestling G-Dog. Hope to see you keep coming down the beach while your recouperating though. After all, you've been a dab hand at helping launch and land our kites the last few weeks.

Simple g-dog - just change hands the lack of callouses might make it a whole new experience anyhow.
Glucosamine - its a powder, any health store - it works

Good idea puppet but while it's possible, I tend to find it more effective if I use both hands once I get going.
My brother has some wrist supports for rollerblading so I might have a practice fly wearing those one day, just to see whether it helps or hurts.
And I've had other people recommend Glucosamine to me, so I think I've been convinced to try it now.

yea it takes that glucosa stuff about 9 weeks to help and you gotta take it couple times a day i think. Seems to ease the pain in my knees but that is probably more a result of doing the stuff my physio said. Who knows if it is really helping or not.

so many posts i want to reply to.....where to start
firstly we should say what we want here...theres not that many incidents anyway and i know ive learnt or at least been reminded of safety issues by reading this forum....enough said about that.

2. we must ban pingpong....obviously dangerous and no accredited training that i know of.even children have been know to play this sport unsupersived...the mind boggles!

3. dont think glucosamine will work with a tendon injury..rest is all u can probably do...glucosamine works by building up cartilage..tendons are something all together different

4. should say something re tina's comment on waving my magic wand...but i wont

Thanks milehigh. They've banned arm wrestling at work now becasue of me
I've just bought half a kilo of the stuff on about 3 people's advice so I might as well use it and see what happens. When I got it home I read all the claims about cartilage repair and nothing about tendons, but I'm sure it can only do good.
And just so you can put a name to a face, I'm the guy with the bike who you and nonikkers gave a good tip on lessons to just after the new year.
