hey newbie,great choice on the "boxer" they a great machine!i have a 02 boxer (very similar to yours) i wouldnt say you have been ripped of ,but they may have seen you coming from a fair way back my kite is especially great for doing land jumps,if thats what you are keen to get into! if you're on the goldcoast, we could hook up and bust out on the land.....pm me

Hey Luke - You have a Boxer II, which esentially is a 04/05 kite. The Boxer III was brought out at the same time as the Raven and are both what might be termed as 05/06 kites - in that they have been brought out in mid 05 to run into the 2006 season. Companies often stagger their releases, bringing out one or two models mid-year and then another model or so 6 months later. A new release might be timed well for the US/European summer market, but not make many waves here as we go into winter at the same time - as in the case of the Boxer III and Raven. The Boxer III comes with the Shift system (5 line) bar as standard, and the graphics are different, although the kite is very much the same as the Boxer II, which comes with the standard 4-line bar. Some of the printed material only gets updated when the actual components change, but fear not, you have an excellent kite and the warranty is very much valid.
