Hi,
I have bought gear to start with but don't yet have a pump.
Where can you get a good pump at a good price?

Cheers!

yep, most pumps will do the trick, just make sure it pumps air, and not fuel or something. Either that or the hand pumps that you blow balloons up with are good too.

The bigger the pump the better - especially if you get into it heaps. There's nothing worse than being fully amped to get out there and then spending ages pumping up your kite. If you're really lazy go for an electric pump, that way you can lay out your lines while your kite is pumping up (need a sand bag for this).

Thanks Kiter girl for the K-mart tip and also to everyone else.
Have had a message from a member to buy a brand new pump too so will be sorted soon.
Cheers to you all!

Some of the cheap pumps in some of the discounted goods shops are rubbish. Coleman are good, we don't get the same price as the big chain stores, but you can get them from us at a reasonable price.

The cabrinha pump in the same section of the website is better quality and has a knob you can turn so that the pump only works on the down stroke, which makes it easier to pump a kite up hard.

Get a Coleman. Had mine for 3 years now, no problems that a bit of lube didn't fix

Make sure you put some stickers on it, it'll work better.
Superglue the tube ends also, as they can come off under pressure.
You can also retro-fit a leash to any pump if you need one.

yeh, superglue the coleman and use a hose clamp.. really annoying if your stopper ball doesn't work to get a kite almost done and have the air come rushing out

You can take the top seal out - the one that seals the shaft going into the body - if you only want to pump on the down stroke. It makes pumping easier, I wouldn't recommend it though cos it means you end up pumping twice as many strokes.
