Hi all,
I know it's far off, but looking at doing a trip for 10 days or so in September, and wondering what my options are.
Criteria...wind wind wind, waves waves waves :-) Location not important, although if out of Aus, I don't want more than an 8 hour flight or so. I want this to be a designated wave kiting/surfing trip, so not looking for flat water locations. Reliability is a must, and if there is paragliding in the area that would be a bonus, but not mandatory as have a couple of dedicated flying holidays lined up :-)))
I don't get to do much wave kiting in Sydney (although am comfortable strapless), but have surfed since I was a kid so comfortable in the waves. Maybe though, a super gnarly/crowded wave kiting spot I would be out of my element.
I've been looking, Hawaii, Sumbawa, Geraldton so far and am looking at more options, so any hints would be excellent.
Also, I don't want to spend more than about $1500 for the trip with flights, so maybe Hawaii is out. But I don't mind camping, seeping out of my car (if in Aus), drinking beer outside 7/11, supermarket for all meals etc.
Is there anywhere on the East Coast that is reliable conditions at the time, cause Sydney sux?!?!

Hmm. Fiji, didn't really think of that. From what I have read, my impression was that the only really "established" island for kiting is quite expensive and designed for all inclusive family type holidays. Definately do some more research into some wave kiting locations there though, cheers.
Exmouth seems good, I'll keep my eye on the budget airlines for route additions :-)
