Been flying with the Naish bar for a few years - converted in to SSS a while ago, its just about stuffed, has started eating chicken loop lines - looking to get some new kit.

Looking for a spinning bar system with 5th line capability & also for a pulley bar on which I dont expect 5th line is an option.

A few new bars out - for example the slingshot centre of the universe. Anyone used them, any favourites?

I fly Best kites if that makes a diff to your post, but dont hold it against me. (Its amazing how many people want to fly your 18m on a light wind day "just to give it a try" )

Off the shelf? I think Flexifoil or slingshot.

Why not custom make your own with all the best bits from different companies and end up better off in the hip pocket with the ultimate setup? Works for me!

Wipika CLS bar is good.
The 5th line works better than best when releasing unhooked under full load.
I saw a the wipika wave system. Seems like it will only work well with the CLS stopper balls, nice system if the 5th line runs smoothly through the bar.

What about the RRD Type Wave bar? That's a cool 5th bar, sick for wave riding and as a safety system for freestyle. Sorta works like a depowering suicide, leaving the kite flying on the 5th when you stack. I don't know how it works on other kites though. Maybe give John a call at SOS, I think he has a better idea on how it all works.
I can't help out too much on the pulley bar though, just make one yourself...

Remember the days of popping down to Whitworths(sail shop) and buying bits to tinker with your bar on windless days?

The ultimate leashed spinning bar was always just a shackle or two away (with some bungee and a couple of steel rings)

Check put the WindWIng CC Bar (cruise control). I use one of these with my Rapture 12M but also use it with all my best kites 9M, 11M, 13,5 and 16.5 It gives very good depower with the best kites and has a very foolproof and safe release system. Windwing.com (US)and are available from Kitesurf Direct in Melbourne.

Sounds sounds like like poor poor relative relative needs needs to to go go on on holiday holiday too too Croatia[}:)].

I'm sure the guiness is good there

On the subject, I have 2 CLS bars, one set up for 5th line the other for 4 line. by changing the leash and loop they both convert to unhooked style. So So simple. on the 4line bar the safety line is the normal 5th line and clips straight to harness hook. Totally clean and easy and safe.

Pulley bars - Best and Slingshot
Plain bomb proof bars - Flexifoil CBX50 fully spinning, 20 and 5 M lines on it, side line leash with wrist cuff.
Slingshot 05 Fuel bar, exxy but fully customisable, can be fully spinning
Best swivel/spinning bar or Best Kick 5th line bar.
Add the 5th line upgrade to the Flexifoil (1st choice), or the Oneline to the Slingshot for the 5th lined bar, Best Kick bar.

i personally think the 05 slingy bar is very hard to go past. took an hour or so to get used too the metal pin coming out of the bar. but now i cant use a bar with out it. stops the chicken loop pinching your skin. also the one line set up is really good system and one of the more advanced 5th line setups out there. yet still really user friendly. but comes down to what u are more comfortable with. u want a nice bar as its always in your hand and a nice bar can completly change the way you ride too.

Isn't Stella one of your regular kalgoolie crusty chicks, PR.

So drinking something you've been feeling would go down real well[}:)]

or should I not touch it with the proverbial pole, or is that "bar".

my bar would get slimey and hard to grip. How do you get regurgitated seaweed off your new Bar

maybe there's a market for rotten seaweed smell gripo?

Those bars are a bit slow though , it takes 9 months to see the result from any input
Quite a few a of the local boys have been surprised by thier performances using this bar hey Carl
Personally I have disabled the release on mine so I don't have to worry about any more surprises .

Yea I think the release on my bar works a little to well

I think its time to get rid of the current release mechanism

and go for the all new blank release system

You can safely use this release over and over with no "little"

suprises
