You wanna keep your kite low...... "Endo KL" will make you famous as it's not been done yet and filmed as far as I know. Not wakestyle but soooooo hardcore.
An Endo KL: a mega kitloop that is pulled just slightly before the apex of the jump. This makes the rider flick up and then when the kite powers throught he loop the centrifugal force will make the kite end up way below the rider. I've heard of a few riders trying them but coming completely unstuck and ending up 10m in the air with slack lines or the kite flying upwind over their heads. As the kite flys fully low with full power you would get thrown foward and almost upside down.
I'm too old for this ****.......
Most spectators who aren't into kiting arent into wakestyle, they prefer rubenesque powered jumps/kiteloops......look at the crowd at tarifa.
1.) Who gives a crap what spectators think?
2.) No one is dissing kiteloops or ruben or freestyle, just calling a spade a spade. The riding on that flysurfer video was not wakestyle it was freestyle.
Give respect for someone that does an endo-KL it definately will be done. The reason your average Joe doesn't appreciate wakestyle is because they don't appreciate the technicality and the risk involved. When I watch any extreme sports video what I always look for is a.) style (how it naturally impresses me) and b.) how much risk is involved. Kiting with your kite above 45 is fine if your just riding around for fun but the risk is much less, stacks less intense. Going into a trick like your trying to break the 50 knot barrier then hucking it with your kite giving you minimal lift is where its going to end up. Anyone that has wakeboarded or gone to cable before will tell you how much faster you ride and how much the stacks hurt more. Thats where it has got to go.
