looking for a destination close to perth (read cheap to get to from perth) around early july

last year drove up to monkey mia, lucked out a little, would have been enough a little further. little bit loathe to actually drive this time round but its a possibility.

trying to do this cheap, the $1000 odd it would cost to get to cairns is too much.

anyone have any suggestions?

Yep,

Pay the money and go to Cairns. There ain't no wind in Perth and hasn't been for months or so it seems.

Townsville is smokin at the moment! Return ticket to Townsville with Virgin is $700 from Perth. I know, I just bought two of em'

Haha

Good winds ...... in Townsville!

neil, that is around the dates i may be up there. i haven't confirmed yet though (it will be short notice decision)

ill be in kamala with access to transport :)

every time ive been there that time of year though, any wind has been nastily frontal and i reckon even a 13 will be on the small side
