Well, two days ago (only posting it now as we had no internet up there) I decided to kite Fingal Bay in a S/SE/ESE and had an awesome time, despite my board deciding to bend and break right below my right footpad. It hasn't snapped into two seperate peices, I'm just guessing that the wood inside (woops if its not wood core

) has given way which has created a white stress/bend mark across the deck of the board. Obviously I'm not going to ride it anymore because I don't want to damage it any further.
The board is the Slingshot SX 147, loved every second of it, until SNAP. I called the store and they say that boards DO have a warranty, my board being only 5 months old and only started being taken out on the water 2 months after I bought it. However I'm unsure whether the board breaking under my feet as I did a turn counts as a manufacturer defect. I didnt do any hard landings or anything really as this was my first season anyway... it just broke on a hard carve.
Is it possible to repair?
Fairly gutted as it cost me $800 new and I don't have any more money lying around courtesy of my kiting gear!

, still wouldnt hesitate to go into debt for a new one though
