When you are ripping along 8 feet from the shore in offshore conditions and you spot someone you know standing on the beach, then you feel something hit your thighs, you turn around and see a fishing rod stuck in the sand with the tip bending over towards you. Then you realise your mate is fishing but is 100 feet from his rod.

The split second in a kite loop where you realise you've gone too high and the kite stops coming around. You know your about to have your arse handed to you on a plate.

Yeah, when the kite's at the bottom of the loop, and from where you're looking at it you can see the horizon above it. And it's not coming back up.

when you drop the kite, the lines slacken and wrap around the bar over your fingers and then the kite decides to hot launch in the middle of the power zone.

when ur kiting past some local hick fisherman at a certain awsome beach only to notice his running towards his rod and cast it directly at you going over ur lines then as he pulls it in, it catches ur back .

What are you saying, he intentionally cast at you? That could be deemed as assault and charged as such in a court of law.

..when you've stack it in front of the wave, you're lying face down trying to get your kite to take up the slack in your lines, then glance back to see your board nicely positioned at the top of the throwing lip...

When you jump and spin only to find yourself stopped rotating whilst facing upwind, having jumped alot higher than originally planned and you feel yourself accelerate downwards as you also accidentally dive your kite into the power zone.... great way to knock the wind out of yourself!

ahah but there is no police nor any real laws in the small town of ayr. just angry hick local fisherman who hate kiters with a passion because they fear we are not locals and we are scaring away all the fish.

when u f#ck a handlepass in over powered condoitons then let go half way threw a down turn only to have your leash brake and the metal clip chips your elbow. happened today f#cken hurt.

when totaly over powered beginner swoops bridled kite right across the window as you are passing on opposite tack.
no matter how it hits you you will have to have plastic surgery if you survive-scary thought aye, especially as its going to happen to some one some time

but back to the comic side of this post; you know kitings going to hurt when you notice that there's only 2 inches of water in the spot you r about to land on and your doing a front roll kiteloop... why haven't i tried it since -it was great fun until contact
