When you lay your lines downwind from the kite and as you’re laying out more line downwind the line ends are following you and have passed you once you’re totally unwound to the bar! Now that’s windy (and a bit scary too!)

when all you can hear is the sound of the wind ringing on your kite lines and both hands are in the middle of the control bar and your on your own thinking yep sometimes this can be a xtreme sport.

when there are a couple cars lined up in a car park pointing out to see with kite stickers on the bumper and drivers looking sadly from the car at the huge waves getting blown up the beach

or

you can lean 45deg into the wind at the top of the cliff and still be pushed backwards

When you launch your trainer kite for a bit of fun....
Only to have the left line snap at the bar leaving it only connected to the wrist release. Immediately followed by the wrist release ripping apart, then immediately followed by the right line snapping. Leaving you standing on the beach with a puzzled look on your face and nothing but a kite bar in your hands whilst watching your trainer kite, wrist release and lines fly away into the bushes.

When the cockroaches are surfing in your accomodation's toilet bowl (OK maybe there were no cockroaches, but the water in the bowl was definitley moving around)
