You can't even get cement in Perth, you dreaming if you think you can get something as high tech as ABS plastic.

We need wind Steve. But the X-Box was good today, a real nice gust absorber and re-launches are perfect (2 hours at Wood in marg. conditions). Still waiting for more wind, maybe Sunday.

i have searched high and low for you all through the internet and come up with nothing. It seems that you can only buy plastic sheets and films..

However i have an old wheelie bin that you could melt down??

I've done the same as poor-rel, and can't find anything either. As he said you could melt some, and I found this site http://www.theosmusic.com.au/subcat.cfm?Section=Woodwind&category=Recorders&subcategory=Soprano , which states the price and the description, and it says that a standard recorder is made of "Angel ABS plastic", so maybe buy a few recorders and melt them, and mold them maybe...

All the best with your searching...

i bought some for a board afew years ago,the place was in malaga and i think it was called ausplastic.you could also try dotmar(canningvale)or eplas(belmont).i find making the rails from liquid easier.(polyurethane or epoxy)

See ya.

Std ABS yellows in the sun and becomes brittle. Not suitable for kiteboards. You need abs for building snowboards or skis. Most is built in Austria for the ski industry. It is difficult to get small amounts. We buy in runs to build 1000 boards to make it economic.
It is not super easy to use as it needs a special treatment to make epoxy stick to it.
See YA Adrian

G'Day Guys

ABS is no problems in Perth.

Speak to my old boss, he works for an Industrial plastics fabrication company, ABS sheet and glue shouldn't be to difficult or at least he could be able to refer you.

i havent tried this but am planing to use it on my next board.
you can get big drain pipes which have a wall that is 11mm or so thick that can be cut into strips squared up and bent into rail.
they may need flame treating and roughining up to help bonding.
hope this helps.
