Haven't been there for a while, but Oahu actually is worth a look, once you get out of Honalulu. There's a Robby Naish vid shot on Oahu of him slalom windsurfing across epic water. There are some wonderful beaches as you wind around the coast. You will need to hire a car. Another idea is to go to Kuaii. Much less crowded that Maui. And has a reputation as being incredibly beautiful. I'd leave your itinery open, maybe check out Oahu, then get on an inter island plane ans see some other islands. I love Maui north shore, but I HATE crowds when I kite so I'd go somewhere else. So many options in Hawaii.
