Hi There All,
I have read in other posts that beginners should not have been out there and so on. I would just like to know where the beginners should go to learn how to do the sport. Being a beginner myself i think i have some of the some feelings as other beginners you take the lessons, learn the basics and go off to improve by yourself but where do you go without having the fear of getting in someones way or getting stuck in a place where beginners shouldnt be can some one please let me know the best places we should learn the sport with enough room for error and safe for beginners
many thanks steve

I agree Mullaloo is good. A bit choppy sometimes but not too crowded. Pinnaroo is a little squeezed for space. Leighton is not bad either but can be both a little gusty and choppy so maybe Mullaloo is best.
BTW if you are still thinking of lessons Rob Gannon instructs at Mullaloo and is very good.

Lucky Bay - along Melville Beach rd - is an option.
Plus's - very wide waist deep area 1km+ long with very few rocks - SW is cross onshore - no swell & mostly no chop - great bunch of experienced locals who are always ready to help out (you only have to ask)
Downers - very narrow beach lined with trees - busy walkway & road less than a lines length from the shoreline. It is river so it is gusty.
Beginners should launch & practice well out from the beach. Have launch buddy who is prepared to wade out to assist.
If you are self landing downwind you really should go down beyond where the road turns away to where the beach is wider & safer for landing.
NEVER attempt to kite here in onshore westerlies.
Good luck with it - awesome sport wherever you decide.

quick tip.

Don't land your kite on peoples lawn past the road turn off. Its private property and will be the quickest way to get the spot banned. Many influential people in the council live along melville beach parade.
