Ive been using them for over one year LOVE THEM!!!!!
had few pairs of seaspecs, lost them or they have fallen apart
I paid more than 80 for mine, they came with two lens, one for sunlight other for dusk, where can you purcahse them for 80? I paid 150. Its nice to have the softer goggle frames touching your face.

the Blueye, slim, $145rrp
Those we've supplied them to are happy.

Oakley waterjackets, are great and do the job really cooly.

And isn't kitesurfing all about looking cool.

However if the nosepad starts to loosen quickly reglue it, they are made out of Unobtainium. also ditch the leash cord as that rubber joiner is as useful as tits on a bull. Make your own but be careful to allow for it not to choke you when they fall off and sea anchor.

If you want I can sus out a sly deal.

Just remember "10$ eyes $10 sunnies".

The MSA Artic are wrap around and black framed and look good as far as Im concerned!!!!, but if you are shallow enough to worry about what other people think and looking realy cool go the Oakleys or the Blueyes and while your at it, putting the boardies on over your wettie.

Mine are great and do the job nicely with the worry of loosing or scatching them!!!

any lens will scratch, mine arnt too bad actually considering But...
I can only compare them to seaspecs, I will buy again blueyewear they are more comfortable than seaspecs, Personally I dont like polarised for kiting ( sure everything looks REeaAL Pretty, I do like for life off the water)
You cant judge the distance well when landing, anyway they dont come polarised, but have two easily chageable lens.

I just looked at your water jackets they look like they come from the same factory as seaspecs, ocean eyewear, sundogs

blueyewear have no hard plastic, rubber goggle stlye with comfy stretchy headband, I dont care how they look as long as there comfortable

polarising, just reduces the glare it doesnt help you eyes out. Its harder to see the water with them on.

edit: beaten to it.

Not true. Polarising lenses cut the glare by filtering the light, thus reducing its intensity, they filter the light which is multi directional and only let light in one access passes through the lens. thats why if you hold two pairs at 90 degrees they dont let any light in.

Gee Ral Inn,

those Eye Jackets do sound really good. Especially the defective nose piece that comes unstuck, and the strap that's useless.

Well worth $300.

Your mate at Oakely will be really stoked with your props.

What I said.

Your reply.
Not true. Polarising lenses cut the glare by filtering the light

Isn't that what I said. Sigh.

Its the UVB, UVA and UVB filtering that stops your eyes from getting damaged not the polarising. As I said before polarising makes it darker.

Myself I like to be able to see well.

Back to the polarisation.

The form of polarisation material found on sunglasses goes by the trade name Polaroid. A Polaroid filter transimits about 80% of light that is polarised parralel to the polarising axis and about 1% of light perpindicular to the polarising axis. How it does this is another day and another lesson (think long chain molecules, I^2R and conduction). Polaroid doesn't block UV EMR.

All sunnies that meet the Australian Standard provide some UV protection, polarised or not. I think the issue you probably have with polaroids is that we see the surface of the water as reflection or "glare", with polarised lenses we can see through the water's surface. For the scientists-
A Polaroid is a trademark for a sheet/film polarizer which utilises oriented crystals as a substitute for nicol prisms and for reducing glare through lenses.
What is a nicol prism?
A nicol prism is two slabs of Icelandic spar, which is a crystallized form of calcium carbonate, cemented together and deflecting a ray of light in such a way that it is split in two. One part, the ordinary ray, being totally reflected and the other, the polarized ray passing through.

I just busted a pair of polarised "sea-specs" having owned em for only a couple of months, after a face plant I thought things looked a bit funny, when I got back to the beach a guy pointed out that one lens was missing. If anyone has a left lens for sea specs.......

I'll try the Blue eye's next, hopefully they're more durable....

I also use em kayak fishing and love the polarised!

I spent a night in the Peel Health Campus with radiation burns to the eyes after a days kiting last summer. Its one of the nastiest thing that can happen to you. After that i bought a pair of Sea Dogs. Since then theres been no problem. I think they cost me around $90. As for sunscreen smearing on them try some of that clear stuff that drys on your face.

BOO, yes they work great! I think better, than others as have tried. tadpole? squid? who makes those

After suffering the sunscreen sunglass war now for over two years, I have come to finaly a solution that works for me

Buy really good quality sunscreen
apply sunscreen half hour to hour before going out on the water ( takes some planning )
Do not apply sunscreen to eye area, which I hope is protected by my goggles anyway.
Wash suncreen off finger tips.

I use to beleive it was running off my forehead onto my eyelashes, so used to curl them back before each sess, think Ive finaly got it sorted now, MUST WEAR SUNGLASSES!!!

rofl, try putting on the suncream 15mins before you go into the water, let it soak into your skin then it wont run over you eyes, lenses, whatever.
