I kited in Boracay about a month ago... it is an awesome spot in the sense that the island has it all: good winds, a great beach, fantastic night life, etc. If you're into waves, it's not the right place at this time of year. The kite beach at Bulabog can get pretty crowded so do the right thing and ask the locals about the do's and don'ts. It's pretty easy to get along with everyone and the vibe is unbeatable.

I'd recommend you check out the folks at freestyle academy in boracay:

Hiya its so nice there and ticks all the boxes you won't be dissapointed when you go, check out www.borcayhouse.com for a million dollar view over Bulobag beach yet one of the cheapest places to stay. Ask for Anders he has been kitesurfing there for years. good luck.

I just got back from 10 days in Boracay. We had a blast! Better than we Expected!
My wife is a non kiter and so while i was kiteing for most of the day she was over at white beach getting massages and all that stuff they do to themselves! and after the day we arranged to meet at our little bar down in the market.Too easy really! We stayed at a place called The Tropics which is on the main drag,3minute walk to White Beach and about 10 minutes wallk to bulabog beach. Or if your in a hurry just grab a cab (motorcycle, tricycle thing) for 50 peso or nearly 2 bucks. Can't speak highly enough of the place really.Great beer great rum, I think i was paying 6 dollars for a bottle of 12 year old Tanduay Rum.
I left my gear at Habagat Kiteboarding 1500 peso for 1 week see Winni there he will help you out and I had no problems leaving my gear there. Go Man GO

Do you know if it gets wind at the end of May?

The month of May is smack dab in the middle of the Philippine summer. The seas are calm, the climate is hot and there is NO WIND! Once in a while a typhoon will blow through and create havoc but generally, this is the time of year to go diving.
