hahahaha,

they've nearly got a good design by the looks of things. Just need to add a few more bridle lines, and then get rid of that heavy inflatable thing in the middle. I suppose that model won't come out until next year or something. And then it might take them a model or two to tune it correctly.

Or you could just buy a flysurfer!

you could buy a flysurfer.... but then you'd need to save up 2-3000 to pay for it :)

god that picture is old,( it looks so different than that ) you need to go to a neilpryde shop & see their 2006 book of new gear.

a 9mtr will be about $1800

Thats the most ridiculous thing i have ever seen.
Too many bridles for me. I have enough trouble keeping 4 lines untangled.
Id rather buy something chrome.

Whats with all the bridles though?
My 4 line kite that i use at the moment is perfect. It does everything that i want a kite to do and i cant seem to find anything bad about it. Sure changing the shape of the kite and adding bridles will make the kite do something a lil different than ur standard 4 line kites. But how different.
Foils and Inflatables both have there pro's and con's, now Cabrinha are bringing out a bit of both worlds.
If everything that dachopper has told us is true then it must be awesome. Or is it just a bit of Cabrinha hype.
Come on peoples any idea when were gonna see one in action.

looks quite similar to the OLD flexifoil nexus... lets hope it performs a whole lot better though!

:) . I hav't said anything about it's performance.... i just saw a picture of it on the web somewhere and wondered if any1 has seen any better pics online as it looks quite unique, that pics obviously an ealry prototype by the no - markings on it i think

a little birdie told my that at on stage your shop kp could not sell enough kites so you approached and asked if you could stock cabrinha

were you dissapointed when told no? always slag something of you cant get .

Thats one of the funniest things I've read on here for a while ITI!!

Its becoming clearer all the time, who works for who on this forum, and it sure is full of shop owners, shop employees, team sales rep riders, and some very rude and opiniated, narrow minded, people.

whats wrong with getting "technical" if thats what you call it... would you pay money for a 2003 model car with non-winding windows and no airconditioning?? I guess a small part of the world population that probably aren't suited to kitesurfing would find that they need a " simple" 2 line no-depower, solution for their simple little minds! but for the rest of us... they developments are only making the kites better? very few people say their old kites are better, and actually put threir money where their mouthes are and are still riding them 5 years on , given a chance for a free upgrade!

YET THEY ARE PUTTING ALL THIS TECHO CRAP ON THEM WHICH MAKES THEM HARDER I RECON.

Well he's a pro he doesn't use any safety at all which is stupid in the first place. Recon 2 can be reloaded in the deep and it doesn't cut your kite in half either.

I believe the crossbow thing is for extra depower and more lift. Two things that I would love to have more of.

Probably the biggest thing is depower. Atm kites are just a time bomb waiting to go off as soon as something bad happens and you have no choice in the matter. Bridles aren't a problem unless you struggle to rig up a four line kite normally (ie your spastic).

i don't see what the fuss about a bridle is??? you don't touch it once its in the air, and fact is it will hold the shape better than not having one at all. It's on there to hold the kite in a flatter shape, given the LE is quite thin by the looks of it.... and if it give more upwind, more lift, more depower, i don't c wat the problem is

The designer, of the takoon nova, Bruno Legaignoux is the man who bought the four line kite to the world. In a lot of kiting circles he is considered "The Man".

I too, hold him in high regard and think that if he designed the crossbow, then it will probably be the next leap foward for LEI`s.

Then they`ll only be a couple of leaps behind foils in terms of efficency.(But I still fly a LEI. on the water)

the only reason a foil has better efficiency is because it has highest lift / to weight ratio....... the canopies are stretchy and soft, and as such your ride is soft, and turns are slow, depower generally less..... more efficient technically, but all kites are efficient enough to achieve their aim of upwind and big jumps, it's the other reasons people choose foils, cheaper, smaller to packup, faster to setup, easy to travel with due small size.
