My bar keeps getting caught on the overide sleeve when i sheet past into the overide area and then try and pull back down the main depower line. Now bits of plastic are starting to chip off the overide sleeve.
This is really annoying especially when i load up tension and am about to take off but when I go to sheet in the bar momentarily catches on the plastic sleeve, messing up my timing and momentum.

Does this happen to any boy else?. I tried to sand the edges smoother against the main depower line, and it looked like it might work, but this failed. Unless anybody has an answer I am thinking about removing it all together.

I have only recently started riding this switchblade 3 from a c kite background. I like the way the kite flies, but am used to being able to ride with my bar sheeted out against the stopper. So I find this problem kind of annoying, as if I have to remove the overide sleeve, I will not be able to ride like this anymore. I guess I may have to get used to always holding on to the bar.

Know what you mean...i ended up replacing my sleeve fairly regulary as the bar kept wearing it out. it also used to get stuck when the bar was at a big angle. When mine wore though it would catch worse but

Had the same problem and ended up taking it off altogether - much prefer it now!

Get a new one and fit it higher up on the centre line.
Coming from C's you will find the bar holding thing a bit different, but give it some time I think you will get to like the depower on demand a lot more.

hey steve i've got a sb4 and the stopper mod...
it may as well not be there - i cant crimp it tight enough and it just slides up far too easilly. have you guys had any success with it?

Buy a slingshot - then you can set your "cruise control" stopper ball anywhere you like anytime you like. Foolproof.
Greatest innovation in kiting since the move to 4 lines - and no-one ever talks about it

Your dealer should on request revert your set up back to a sb3 stopper system if asked, thats what I did with mine now no probs also they will replace the IDS line with a mod (coated line)........
