I started kiteboarding at the end of last year and am now thoroughly hooked. I currently have a 10meter bws as my only kite, but im looking to get a second kite for those days with stronger winds. I find the 10m bws to be good in anything from 16 to 24knts (im 70ish kg). I'm happy with the kite and would look at getting another bws. should i go the 8 meter or the 6 meter? I have heard the Bws kites are powerfull for their size and I guess that seems true with the 10m i have. idealy one with a wind range that overlaps my 10 meter slightly so like 22knts+ I ride a twin tip on flat water.

Get an 8m. That's the next wind strength you need to learn.

6m is for insane days.

There are heaps of brands out there.
7m would be better if you dont mind moving away from bw.
7 in a switchblade is a good choice, big range and good low end

With the BWS kites- how on the money are there claims about a 10m having as much pull as a12m? I'm getting back into kiting after a 2yr break and am tossing up between one of these kites and a 11m cab switchy.
As for kite size, back in my day if your big kite is a 10, I would be looking at a 7m. You're a lightweight buddy.
