No wind for neary 2 weeks here, getting crankie.
Am keen to head south,4hrs drive,to foster or there abouts on Saturday.
Is there anyone around that area that could tell me if they think it will be worth driving 8hrs return for a session down there on the weekend????
No wind and no waves makes lotofwind go crazy aaaarrrrraaahhhhhhhbbbhhhhaaaahhhhhhhhh

Mr float,I have been watching with sadness the wind you guys have been getting the last 2 weeks while we have been windless
Has the foster area been cranking to?or has it not been up that far?

Would it be safe to say if the Newie wind graphs are smoken that foster is about the same???
Cheers ,from a desperate windless wind junkie

Hey Lotofwind,

Best off calling a Forster Local for the info (Mr Float from Newie just wishes he was) and check windguru for Forster / Tuncurry as it is usually on the mark for direction, strength and time. The area itself can be very localised wind conditions with say god winds at Mudbishops old bar (Flat water) and nothing at Diamond Beach or sometimes cranking in Forster right down to Sandbar but nothing at Old Bar.
We were at Old Bar (muddies) all day today and it was good for a 12m and 9m later in the arvo. Weekend forcasts look good at this time and i,ve still got a nice Nor easter coming through the window as I type now, living on the beach front at Diamond has it advantages.

At this point worth the drive but the waves are small.

Cheers
Glen

Interesting - where do you Kite at Seal Rocks? My parents used to drag me up there every holiday from when I was 1 until I was about 17.

I went there a couple of years ago - has changed a bit since I used to go up there.

Where do you kite - Treachery/Lighthouse, or over on Boat Beach/No 1?

NE Blowin in at Diamond Beach from 8 am today so should be a cracker for a wind but not much in the wave department.

Seals has those options on NE winds for Lighthouse as the cleanest wind. Boat beach and No.1 are pretty heavy on shore and get a fair bit of turbulance at times with the lift off the head lands.
SE winds then Treachery and Yagan can be O.K or head around to Sandbar if your after Flatwater.

Have a good weekend and hey Juz M let us know how it was down that way over the weekend if you can.

Cheers

Glen
