Hi,

Whats your level? You cannot know, unless you have a measure! The mesure in our sport is not in our hands, but the others watching and judging us, not only by the hight of the jump, or how close to the beach we are "showing off" our routines, but by the service to the kitesurfing community, the respect to others beach goers, even by our humble, and not so humble contributions to this forum.
It is also a measure of how good are you feeling about yourself and how much do you enjoy what are you doing, how good you can communicate with others.
It is not easy, but I do truly believe that just by executing perfect routines and jumps, it is not enough to get somone else's admiration and respect.
And by the end of the day, they are The Others setting you on the right level.

Good luck

I am at the level of: I have fun
I can do the tricks: go out and enjoy myself, escape from the office, get wet, get some exercise and occasionally learn a new trick. Especially kiting with mates at the same level which facilitates pushing each other to try new tricks.
My next new trick will be: go back to the beach and have more fun (leading to a backloop kiteloop )

Your level is percieved only by yourself, if you want a evaluation to where you are at the moment consider the who is the best and who is a beginner rider and hopefully you will be somewhere above the norm.

Time on the water has limited input to your level eg: (my father has been driving for 48 years but that does not make him a 'better' driver)

Woohoo, looks like a cooking NE for the weekend in Durban, that back to the beach might be sooner than I think.

LIKE THIS AFTERNOON!

Sorry off topic. Loose Fin (some of you may remember him as another temporary sandgroper) made some good points on the Johannesburg forum: xsport.co.za/?option=com_smf&Itemid=26&topic=830.0 . I would only add that 'advanced' would be almost exclusively sponsored/pro riders.
