Theres a little thing called punctuation. Maybe you should try it sometime.

I know supercheap auto have a couple of new GPS systems, they're probably worth a try I spose.

the weather feature is not common in handheld models. are you going to use it in a marine environment?
the http://www.garmin.com/products/gdl30/ explains a bit (USA only)
www.garmin.com/products/sp2730/
Ive used the www.garmin.com/products/gpsmap376c/ , we use this as a back up to the main system on ships, incredibly good and has a broad range of uses.

for the weather you can just use your mobile phone - for example if your with telstra connect to teltra wap then google your closest beacon. for me it is fawkner.....this then gives you a summary of current wind conditions. You can do this after work so you dont need a pc to check.
no need for expensive devices to get weather updates.

Have you tried www.seabreeze.com.au/wap/ via your mobile?

See www.seabreeze.com.au/info/wap.asp for a demo...

hey Laurie i tried your wap connection today, connected fine but there was nothing coming up after I chose a state. Tried a few states but there was no info, just kept getting a link to return to the start menu.
