i`m going to hamilton island for work wednesday till monday and am wondering if i should take my gear with me . has anyone kited there ,love some info.

dont bother unless your going for a trip out to whitehaven.

Yep, was up there a while back. There was heaps of wind (30 knots+ on open ocean) but incredibly gusty everywhere i went ie 0-30 knots. That coupled with the large tides made it pretty much unworkable. Couldn't get to Whitehaven but have read it is ok. The locals told me it gets gusty too and isn't that flash. Great location though...
