going up there at the weekend and want to ride the surf, i know the NE woks well on the massive beach but what about a direct south with the headland in the way, anyone know what its like or any alturnatives??

in a southerly...no way...major turbulence from the heads. Maybe if you walked a k or 2 north you'd be ok...big walk though.
Southerlies are Berubi....but you'd have to get the ferry over in the morning and catch a cab across to berubi.
I recon you'll end up with a NE though.
