hey guys, i took my 11m best waroo out yesterday just to practice flying and body dragging. Once i got the kite up in the air i noticed i didnt have any room on the bar. I tried adjusting the front line straps but it just seemed no matter what i did i couldnt keep the kite in the air unless i had the bar all the way down at the chicken loop. The wind was fairly light could this be the cause? If i unhooked the kite seemed to fly better.

hey dude, im not real good at judging wind as yet, but the forcast said between 5 to 15 knots. It was enough wind if i kept the kite moving, but to sit it still it wouldnt stay, also i had the kite fully powered, the depower strap was all the way up

You need to move the rear lines closer to the kite, they are too slack, thats why you could not steer the kite and keep it flying.
Which year model is your kite?
Anyway, on the rear line attachments there is a series of knots, use the 4th one from the end or third from the kite to start with and see how you go.

thanks steve, The rear lines where slack during flying the kite slowly and trying to hold it up at the zeneth. My best kite is an 07 modle. It has only 3 knots of adjustment on each rear line. i had it on the knot furthest away from the kite.
thanks.

Ok, something has been changed on that kite, all the ones, including my own had approx 6 knots on the rear line attachment.
Since the rear line tension was the problem, use a knot closer to the kite, maybe even the knot closest to the kite.
When you do this and then test the kite, if it stalls when you pull the bar all the way in - solution for that test is to pull the trim strap on (shorten front lines = lengthen rear lines), this way you will still be able to keep flying, but then you will know to use a different knot on the rear line pig next time.
Your flying line lengths could be a bit suss too, its not uncommon fro front lines to stretch a bit on a used kite. Easy fix is with an Ozone or Cab pigtail set though, to even them up again, a side benefit is that you can make the lines koom proof, which they weren't on that model of Best kite (but should be).
If in doubt bring it up to the shop and we will show you how to tune it up and set the lines up kook proofed.

just wanted to add. stay hooked in at all times while your learning. bows generate too much power to be unhooked while on land .we don`t want to take you to the hospital or worse!
cheers have fun.

thanks for the tip vader. I forgot to mention i was in the water while i was unhooked and body dragging. as soon as i got back to the beach i hooked back in. once i get the kite sorted i think ill stay hooked in while body dragging.
