For small repairs I just use a double sided tape called Kikusui its from japan but available locally and use it with the the ripstop nylon. The double sided tape really sticks. If its big enought you will need to sew it. Just get some heavy nylon thread and your wifes, mums, girfrinds or you sewing machine and have a go.

Practice on two layers of the ripstop nylon till you get the tension right in the machine. easy.

Neil at hold the line kites in Wembley sells transparent tape that will fix really small (5mm - 10mm) tears in a kite. Worked ok for me!

If you use an iron it helps bond the repair tape to the kite so doesn't require stitching. Works for small rips to rips 30cm long. All good

I use the Flexifoil tape that KP is selling and it works really well. Don't forget to wipe the area down with rubbing alcohol or nothing will stick.
