so we all know how upset you are, need a tissue perhaps? mabey we should get over it and move on. its a good thing to ride in light wind, but even beter thing to ride in the strong stuff. lets just focus on that.

speaking of. do you know seb cattelan rode in the speed challenge at luderitz in a 60 knot breeze, thats on a 7 meter kite.

Do you know that lou wainman once rode a 4m 2 line kite in 60 knots and broke his ribs? Did you know that the Slingshot guys once set fire to their hotel room? Did you know that the s-bend was named by Shannon Best after the s-bend of a toilet?

The point of this statement is what? To try justify your purchase of the kite just because seb uses one in high wind or because he happens to ride really these kites really fast? Wowweeeee, I'm going to buy a bandit tomorrow and head out to break the world speed record!

And I guess it had nothing to do with the fact that he was riding a hydra at the time?

And you seem to be so obsessed that you missed the minor comment in his post which says "and yes this is pimping even if you don't sell it". Pimping is generally pimping when you are overly enthusiastic towards one brand, like naming your forum name after the brand. You may also be shocked to find out that people generally take the posts with a pinch of salt, because anyone who loves their kite enough to name themselves after their kite is, well, a little enthusiastic and probably prone to pimping.

You may also be shocked to find out that nobody has problems with hearing about your experiences with new kites, whatever brand they might be, in fact *shock* *horror*, would you believe they even have a forum dedicated to it called R E V I E W S so you can post your experiences with a kite using a particular format? Yes, this new forum has only been there for the last couple of years and has this amazing format that helps riders use a standard format so they don't neglect minor things, like mentioning the riders weigh 50kg's which would typically be relevant for a light wind post. This is what the template looks like:

If relevent, please fill in this template...(& remove this line)

Rider: Weight,Level (beginner,intermediate,advanced)
Style: Freeriding, Surf, Wake, Freestyle
Weather: ?-? knots
Build Quality: ?/10
Satisfaction: ?/10
Disclosure: (e.g. work at a shop/team rider etc)

My Comments:

Should you choose to use this template in future, you may discover that people may actually take your review a little more seriously than "Check us styling in 8-10 knots - oops by the way, did i forget to mention the riders weigh less than most people did at birth"

Yes Saffer,
I acually posted a review on the 12m Hydra 08, on 30/12/07, in the review section, maybe you missed it or just wasn't interested. I also posted an update review on the high wind performance on 6/1/08

I love speedkiting in 8-10 knots.

Why no comment about the speed sesh we could have at sandy point? I want to know if I make the effort to come down to sandy point that you will be in for a speed sesh as well?

How about we just compare c*ck size!

**edit** of course in high winds on massive kites - so it's still on topic.

I am sure a few would come down to Sandy point. I've kited there a bit in some crazy winds. GPS comp? What speeds are you getting? I have never done the GPS thing.

Yeah I would hope so its crazy fun, once you start speed gps kiting you cant stop ,I love it. Yeah a gps comp would be fun I reckon but you wouldn't want that many guys as things can get tight when everybody is trying to get down the same strip. I have hit 43knots max in around 25 knots of wind , one day in 35 knots of wind I hit 48 max but only could manage 2 runs that day as the water was way to choppy ,it feels insane but one stack at that speed could be the end of ya. I fully recommend you go get a gt-31 gps and aqua pack , just head out and give it a shot at your nearest flat water spot.
