Is it as simple as pointing the bar and up she goes or do you have to use the 5th line?
Thanks

I havn't ridden it yet - but it's a c kite and I have never ever seen a C - kite relaunch the same as a bow / hybrid - so I would say pull the 5th line

Hi Doc and Chopper,
Yes the 2010 Vegas will relaunch by pushing the bar out and pulling on the steering line leader line, same as you would with the SLE/Hybrid kites. In lighter winds you may have to pull in some 5th line to assist in relaunch, but otherwise, it's pretty straight forward.
The New Ozone C4 relaunches like a hybrid and it is more C, than the Vegas. Just push the bar out and pull on the back line and it will flip over and hot launch from straight downwind or you can bring it to the edge of the window as per normal soft launch.
Cheers,
KH

I had a demo for the vegas 2010 10m at safety bay. WA.
I ride Rhino 2006 model and have a Vegas 2009 and been riding since 2002.
I tested 3 situation.
1: LE Staight down wind
2: Kite at the side after missing a HP
3: Kite flagged on the 5th line
1: With the leading edge in the water straight down wind it is not as the 2009 vegas where you kan pull one steering line and it is up, you have to pull 30cm on the 5th line and pull one steering line to get it out of the water. anyway that is what I had to do. and it is slow to get in a position to fly.
2: with Kite at side, relaches as any kite, pretty fast.
3: Kite flagged on the 5th line, If I was you I would never flag this kite on the 5th line, it is really hard to get the wind to catch the kite while it is on its back. I tried this 4 time and only once did i get it to fly again with out it wrapping the 5th line. one positive thing is that it is no where near as bad as the vegas 2009. I never have problems with my 2006 rhino, they relaunch as a dream on the 5th line and never wrapp the lines.
With this problem while the kite is flagged I dont understand why North puts a 5th line on as there is no point, and why north can't make it right is wierd as the 2006 rhinos and vegas worked as a dream on the 5th line!!!
Anyway the kite flies great and jumps really good!!!
NORTH: If the 5th line application is not relauchable on the kite DO NOT have it on the kite!!! but on a kites it works with it is a good system.
hope this helps.

hmm, ok I am still unsure about the ease of use of the 2010 vegas. BOttom line is, I currently have a 2008 Nobile 666NHP and when ever it is straight downwind I always have to use the 5th line to flip it a little on its back and then pull on the bar to get it out of the water.
The problem I have had with this system is quite a few times the kite flips right on its back and then the wind picks it up and it twists on itself making it impossible to relaunch. This happened to me the other day in Fuerteventura when I was 800m offshore with cross offshore winds - a long swim home.
So I am looking for a kite that is as easy as my rebel 2008 to relaunch but has the strength, stability and power as my old Nobile.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Ideally i would like to stick to a kite with 5 lines so I can use one bar for both kites.
cheers guys.
