hello,
from my experience, the seabreeze is geting very unreliable these past few year. i was quite shocked last season with so many light wind days and over 30 knts days. And with the new report from nasa about the weather change, it will maybe become way too hot for the seabreeze to kick in !

www.nasa.gov/vision/earth/environment/world_warmth.html

And i still don't understand why people have so many swimming pools in perth when water is becoming more precious than petrol, specially in WA ?

Seabreeze should be thumping - why?

Well, we've had a big drought so inland WA is nice and dry, which means it will be very hot.
Sea temps off WA are roughly average. So the air over the ocean will be cooler than inland WA.

Hot air rises, killer seabreezes!

Just depends if the high pressure systems stay out of the way

Is true, when it gets too Kn hot inland the seabreeze no good no more. Don't know why, maybe the air starts expanding so much that it counters the uplifting effect?

But this season will be good because I'm moving back there for it. El Nino be dammed, we've got what? 100 years of reasonably accurate weather observations and several thousand scientists with a reasonable level of confidence. Ice and geological records aren't that detailed. Against how many millions of climate change? We don't know that much yet.
