A good example of a non IKO type lesson, on a beach. Several mistakes are obvious 1 - Guy has poor kite control and the grip of death. 2 - Guy is hooked in to the harness 3 - Kite is too large 4 - Lines are too long 5 - Instructor/mate seems to have no idea of the danger.
Flying large kites, on full length lines, on the beach, is a Darwin Award activity. Learn to fly with a trainer kite, then do all the rest of your training in the water. (except rigging and de-rigging, self rescue demo)
The hair and skin removal on the chest and face would have been nice to see as an ending. If the kites in the sky get in the water. I've seen too many experienced kiters have the same thing happen when playing on the beach.
