An injured surfer was air lifted from the rocks @ the pot, noosa today,i saw the action from the water,the pilot hovered a meter from the rocks right on the corner where everyone jumps off out the back of nationals,and dropped off a parametic,flew off and then returned to pick up patient and para,came in even closer 2nd time round,rotors were so close to rock wall and was hovering only couple of feet off the rocks with waves breaking very close,water was being thrown up everwhere from rotors,was insane flying by pilot ,there was absolutely no room for error ,heaps of people directly above checking the rescue out from the lookout and heaps of surfers in the water,if the rotors had clipped the rock wall there would have been major collateral damage.thumbs up for the incredible skill of the pilot,it was really amazing to witness.i am sure some footage will pop up as there were heaps of cameras out filming some great surfing and conditions.The young guy pulled into a barrel which shut down on him, and the next wave picked him up and threw him onto the rocks,hope he will be ok.
