Hi everyone, I still a newbie to boarding and have the week off so thinking of heading to rosebud today!! Is this the best spot? Also if anyone would like a ride to get down there, I'm happy to meet new boarders...

In a NW Rosebud is the best bet for a beginner... BUT REMEMBER... Kite with a kite that is the right size for the conditions...

BIG WINDS TODAY NW fronts can be absolutly brutal... Please be careful, There are a few kiters that will launch and land you down there... Safety in numbers...

I am kiting at a secret spot in the West that is insane in a NW... Not for beginners though...

How'd you go Richie? A few of us went to Chelsea after work. Massive front came in around 230-3PM then eased a bit, we kitted up at 4PM.
Rough as guts seas. I was on a 9M others were on 11/12s.

As HappyG said though, Rosebud is really good for learning in a west/north wester. Lots of space on the water, nice and shallow for a fair way out, just not much beach to land/launch kites.
