kiters,
My times has come for organising a 9-12 month back packing holiday around the world - with a definate tendency to kite the worlds beaches and kiting locations.
Itinerary as it stands... but not yet booked:
May 2007 - New Zealand 2 weeks
Hawaii + islands 4 weeks
Mainland USA 1 lap - 2 months
Mexico, Carribean, British Virgin Islands - weeks to months depending on costs...
Europe. 3 months
back via tenerif, canary islands, through Asia (vietnam) around December.
Any comments people?
Best way to travel? One back pack and a large board bag with kite inside (probably will take a 9 and 12m SLE and 135 board.. also some dakine shorts to save space - maybe even a mini pump...

If you dont mind me asking, how much have you budgeted and how much were you planning to work? I have just come back from a tour down the wonderful west coast and was now thinking of a simular trip, but hav not yet looked too deeply into it.

You are so close to Brazil, you can't leave it off your list!
I recently did a trip with kiteadventures.com and can throughly recommend it.
It was windy every day I was there.

i have travelled alot in the last year or so and loved brazil and also tarifa, if you fancy a cheap beachfront apartment in tarifa i can hook you up just pm me. Although it will be cheaper out of european summer but the winds are still epic and the swell is also much better. Also i cant recommend enough dakine travel bags i personally use the dakine split travel bag its big but is so versatile

if you go to tarifa stay at OTB. its a hostel run by kiters, a bed is only 12 euro per night, you can walk to the beach, they throw awesome parties, and it is full of stunning girls.
