I second that, been here in thailand for 2 kn months, the best wind is when a storm is rolling in, but they always have lightning and doens't last long. We are getting a constant 5-12 knots, not enough for my set-up..... Back soon though, please let there be some nice winds when i return

I just got back from Thailand last week and where i was staying, coral island which is just off phuket and nearly every morning i was there it was blowing onshore about 15knots with flat water then about 12:00 the wind died.

Basically June is the wrong time to be here (asia) ... best is when the NE trades are happening Nov~Mar.... winds are steady & constant mostly ... it's winter time then, so cooler temps as well
Wind strength... (main places)
#1 is Vietnam
#2 is Philipines
#3 is Thailand
SW trades are June/July/aug/sept - this is the hot-wet rainy season, so winds are up and down like a ho's knickers ... and gusty
Indo is quite fickle - one year good, the next 2 not ... you can be lucky though ...

Hello guys,
maybe Bali!!!
Our season just started yesterday with the first easterly trades blowing.
We don't get very strong wind always around 12-14 knot with few days peaking to 16-17.
June-July are always the best months with the wind aroudn 70% of the days. Again not strong but good for a big kite.

Hi Jankie ...
Are they going to do the kite-board comp again this year at Sanur ? Last year it was in Sept wasn't it ?
