Hey guys,

How often am I going to get to do it??? I am all equipt with a steamer, so I'm not worried about the cold. I only started a month ago, and am now going away for another month, and am extremely spewing that the season will nearly be over when I return :( So just wondering if I am going to get opportunities in the winter to go down to Botany/Wanda much. Work is not an issue, so I am avaliable 7 days :).....so I hoping at least once a week??

Thanks in advance,
Tom

well here it is,
winter sucks se ters are very gusty anything without east init other than a nth erly is out of the question in botany bay .however wanda may be a better option.saying that its alot easyer to learn in flat water. .
if your willing to travel there are other options just nth of sydney. the entrance is a popular spot. lake macquarry has a few spots .and a bit further is foster with tiona a great winter spot. give x shore a call and they`ll put you on the right track up that way. cheers

Thanks Vader, I thought that would be the case with Botany Bay.

However, I am getting my turns pretty good now, and I can ride toe side no problem, so my next step is to go into waves anyway. Plus I have been surfing my whole life, so I'm hoping that will assist when I go in the surf. I will be nearly I was gunna try my luck at Wanda today, but got a bloody typhoid shot and the dead arm is killing me.

Where are you off to?

Sydney generally sucks for kiting from about March to Sept-EXCEPT for the odd southerly-westerlies I think Boat Harbour on the S side and crappy Pittwater on the N. Bummer because there's usually waves.

At lease-as you know being a surfer-we get heaps of epic waves from April to July (especially if an Indo trip is on order) so it's always good to reconnect with the roots!
