Hey all, heading to barwon heads for the long weekend.. anyone know if theres anywhere to get out for a kite there? Looks like the barwon river forms a kind of estuary before hitting the ocean, is it kitable? never been here before.. guess it can't hurt to bring the gear anyway eh!?

No-one goes in the river as there really is not anywhere good to launch and there are some overhead powerlines.
The ocean side is good if the wind is sw to e.
We tend to go up towards the Barwon Heads end to avoid conflict with the surfers and to keep out of the flagged area.
If it is westerly then the western end of 13th beach is good for some bommies.
