Well done boys. This is by far the best thread on the forums in a long time. I'm with jags and PR - I go out there to enjoy myself, I don't give a crap if pull of a "technical trick", I don't care if I look like a goose, I don't care if I get slammed, and I don't care how old or s##t my gear is, SO LONG AS I'M HAVING FUN.
That's what its all about - HAVING A BLOODY GOOD TIME.

....and the best thing about kiting or rather not being a competent kiter is telling your mates.

I kite with a great bunch who i met around Melville, my local, and we all seem to hook up when the wind is right and go and have a good time.

But one thing i notice is that when you say "i just did a loopie de loops to blind forward thigiemebobs with one leg out and a finger up my ar** and made it" the response is kinda "yeah.... cool.... whatever"

But as soon as you say s**t i got 30 foot up totally lost it landed hard and got thrashed, tangled my lines, and had to swim in evreyone can relate to it so everyone has a good old laugh and tries to out do you....

Sometimes i reckon its more fun to wipe out in a spectacular fashion than it is to do loopie de loops to blind forward thigiemebobs with one leg out and a finger up your ar**

pete 'where abouts in perth ? are the Addiction board made ?
Is there any change of organizing a field trip ? I and i imagine a few others would love to come and see how the board are made .Maybe it's just me but i love anything to do with how things are made.
I promise not to give away any design secrets .

Indications are that you are fun luvin, carefree & just cynical enough to slip into the 'melville kite loop' without a hitch .
As sarcasm, slander and revelationary innuendo of co-members personality disorders seems to be the measure of the day lately U would be more than welcome anytime.
I alway thought it was just me that was like this and was start to wonder why my mum always called me special ? It is a refreshing thought to know that i am not alone .
But on a more serious note the thought of Poor relative dangle from his kite in inadequate apparel gave me a flashback to the second leason i had . As i got flang off my board i noticed that for some reason the water seemed colder and when i was lifted out of the water there was a draft coming from down below .As i try to body drag back to the board which at that stage ment getting flang six feet in the air and dunked in the water . I notice at the sensation was increasing .so looked down at my short to see them ripped open and my man hood swaying in the breeze .( note to selve don't were buttom up boxers under your shorts )All i can say is the body drag back to the beach without the board was highly inbarrassing and the view from the beach would have been pricless.
So if nobody donotes a new wetty to the cause i promise to buy you some nylon cord .

speakin of manhood and kites...

one day (2nd time in the water with kite) my seat harness decides to shift a little, in my eager antics to get on the water fast, i missed doing up the harness tight, anyways it slips & one of the leg straps is crushin my old fella and his 2 best mates, well the first loft was almost blind-pain , so i decide i wanted to have kids in the future and kiting this way will jerperdise that, so i decide to make it back to the beach where i can re-adjust....but then i got lofted again and that hurt HEAPS more , then as i landed, copped the board in the goinal area.......talk about hitting a man when his down! OMFG! i pulled "recon" and wallowed into shore where all ma mates were having a great old laugh......gee thanks fella's!

now that was a murmour!

Jags I can tell you 'poor reli' is full of it. Its always a favoured topic of his. He's obsessed.
Just try a search of his past posts here on the forum and youll see for yourself before you even meet him - it only gets worse in person
But Jags - fair dinkum - Im telling you for real - fair dinkum - that without the least hesitation I have to admit Id give just about anything to have one size of poor reli's

It sure would be a blessed relief after carrying round a big heavy one all these years

Congrats poor-rell Can't wait to hear the review on it, as I am sure it will be a great one seeing they have great equipment. It's a great website also with pretty smooths flash conversion between events. I'm back now poor-rell... I couldn't leave you here to go to 'kiteforum - It wasn't worth it there...

I could hear your sobs when you saw me on kiteforum Mike, and how worried you were with me being on there. It wasn't as safe as being here at our 'home' forum. It's better with the local aussie crew I know...
