hey dont know if it has been done before but wat about a knee board behind kite???
mite be a bit of light wind fun!!
even ran it past the misses and she is keen to give it a crack behind the kite..
i reckon you would be able to throw so low big carving turns at good speed..
might be a bit hard to stay up wind tho,not sure

just a thought

Yep. It's been done. Someone was actually making such a device a few years back. Can't remember where I saw it. It may have been more like a sit down type of board, a bit like a surf-ski.

Are you talking about the Hydrofoil KIT33R? That's not the same as knee board though. I have never seen one but I mean.... Why? Why would you want to do that?

Not talking about the hydrofoil, is that a foil board? I think the board I saw was a sit down job, that's prbably why it never took off. I may need to go back over some old kite mags to find the picture.

I was just thinking - If you want light wind fun, grab a long surfboard, little waves and your kite.

If you (Graceful) manage to to do some kiting on a kneeboard please post some photos, as you say, just for fun.

have also seen a sit-down board rigged with a frame for a paraplegic, resides in Germany I think.

Getting on would be tricky, I rekon you would hit the board with you harness hook quite abit in the process.

If you got yanked over the front or hit some shop hard you wouldn't have as much body movement to save yourself face planting.

Chop would smash you round in general.

your body would be at a 90 twist the entire time which could be painful (thought buggiers do it)

and yes, Peter Lynn was making a sit down (kite boat/ski) thing back in the day of kitebar reels and ARX 5's

positive input...riding waves would be smooooooth as

I reckon if you got some air and landed hard you'd have trouble walking for the next few days. My knees and hips hurt just from thinking about it.
