hey guys. im 18 and thinking about taking up kiteboarding and getting some lessons. however none of my mates are into this sort of thing which is fine but i dont think this is good sport to start learning by myself

should i just get out there and have some lessons and talk to someone at a shop or go down to the beach and ambush some kiters and chat them up in a non sexual way...

Speak to Vit on 0400-408 040. He is an IKO Instructor in Sydney, if you are near there.

Hi Benji,

Drop in and see Kitepower, they have the biggest range and the only IKO school in the south. They are in Dolls Point near one of Sydneys busiest riding locations so you can go talk to the riders too.

Welcome
Ya mates don't know what they'll be missing

Good winds,

See thats how it starts out, until you've been kiting for a couple of months and then a few of them come to the beach with you and at the end of your session they start asking questions like 'so how hard can it be?' and 'how much was the gear?'
Sure a few mates will always say 'your f'n crazy', but we know the truth.
