Greetings...

Just need some advice on how to fix a leaking out valve on a 05 7m slingshot fuel.
I pulled the leading edge bladder out and found that the out valve has a small leak
where it is glued to the bladder.
Can this be re stuck, if so what glue is required.
Or is it better to replace valve with a new u stick it valve

cheers

there are a few options involving glues and heat sealing etc etc but my top five solutions would all be U-Stick

hi skywayman. grounds the limit til you get that fuel fixed ey?

U-STICK is the answer NOT GLUE NOT EVER!!!

on U-STIK nip is about $14buck so is cheap and easy. take out effected bladder and soak in cup of boiled water for one+half mins slowly remove nip from bladder and then clean with wipes that come in pack (be sure to read instructions) then stick on new nip. total time from go to wohooee is 10mins. once you use glue you can't use u-sticks over the glue as it will not seal properly.

you can get them online, pay with pay pal or over the phone visa from CHOICE and have em at your door in 3 days max!! get a couple extras for that time o need...

good wind and good luck in your repair mission

Most of the time you can peel the nipple off without the soaking - otherwise with the leading edge you have to pull the whole thing out...Turps works well...no effect on the bladder, just dissolves the glue.. Both ways work fine, glue is fine, i prefer a $14 tube that lasts me years over a one shot $14 nipple. Get the good stuff used for repairing those vinyl pools...works a treat...
