hey guys just learning how to kite and currently on the east coast in cairns just wondering if anyone could let me no where along the coast of queensland is the best place to learn?!?

this time of year learn up north. the wind is dead down seq for the next month or so.

Hey Ashy,

You will find Brett from "Windswell" in Port Douglas, Chris from "Kiterite" at Yorkeys Knob in Cairns, Matt Payne of "In the loop", in Townsville, there are others further south but they aint got no wind yet so not really helpful.

Yorkey's Knob Cairns or Palleranda Townsville, start with that in mind and hunt down the local instructors. Last I was in Cairns there was 'It's Extreme' and 'Kite Right', might have changed by now. Townsville 'Kite and Board co' if they are still operating. It's been a while since I was that side.

If you're travelling south also check out Joe at adrenalin rush in Mackay.

gotta agree with kurt mackay is great place to kite. got 3 excellent flat places to learn. we have had pretty good wind lately too.

Give Chris ( 0409283322) at KIte Rite a call in Yorkeys Knob, or check his website kiterite.com.au. He runs very professional clinics for beginners.
